FAQs
Why should I use Leicestershire Toilet Hire?
We have a great reputation for toilet hire in Leicestershire based on our focus on customer service and satisfaction.
Can my luxury toilet unit be towed onto a field or grass?
The simple answer is Yes!
We use 4 x 4 vehicles capable of towing our Luxury Toilet Units into position on most surfaces.
The site must be accessible for delivery and service vehicles.
The ground must be level, durable and firm. The luxury toilet units are heavy and require a sturdy surface.
We reserve the right to decline to site a unit if the ground conditions are unsuitable and/or present a risk of damage or injury.
Portable ‘tardis’ chemical toilets merely require a level firm surface, as do the Easy Access and Family toilets.
Do I need an electricity supply?
Yes. [Other than the ‘tardis’ chemical toilets and the Easy Access and Family toilets]
The luxury toilet units must be connected to a power supply providing 230v/16amps.
The power is required to run the lighting, water heating for hand washing and running the pump and toilet flushing systems.
The electricity supply needs to be within 20 metres of the unit.
Alternatively, if you do not have a mains electricity supply you can hire a generator, it must be capable of supplying 5KVA per unit it is connected to.
Do I need a water supply?
This depends on which toilet unit you are hiring.
Please contact us for further details, we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
What else is supplied with my toilet unit?
Toilets will be stocked with chemicals, soap or hand sanitiser, paper towels and toilet rolls.
All units are checked and inspected prior to delivery and will be set up on site ready for use.
All the toilet units store waste in tanks which will require emptying at the end of the hire period. This emptying is included in the hire charge and will be removed by us.
However, it may be the case that further site visits are required to service and empty the waste if the duration of your event or numbers of attendees is significant. This will incur additional costs.
Do I need to insure my toilet unit?
Yes.
It is the responsibility of the customer hiring the unit(s) to ensure that they are covered by adequate public liability insurance and against damage, fire and theft from the point of delivery until the unit is off hire/collected.
Event or wedding insurance may already cover this. If not please contact us and we will be happy to assist.
Are there any additional costs that I may be required to pay?
- Servicing
It may be necessary for our servicing team to empty the toilet waste tank during your hire period. This will be dependent on the length of your event and the number of attendees. This service will also include refilling water tanks and replenishing toilet rolls, hand wash and paper towels.
Please contact us for further details and pricing.
- Delayed delivery or collection
Within the delivery charges is the inclusion of an hour of our time to set up or remove the unit. If we are unable to gain access to the site to deliver or collect the unit as agreed with the customer, a late delivery/collection fee will be imposed. Additional waiting time at the site will be charged at £35 per hour.
